I had the opportunity to fondle one of these today and I should probably be jailed for lust. What a nice piece of work. I almost dropped it when the guy put it in my hands; I was expecting weight, and it wasn't. I commented that the recoil must be really bad, but he assured me it was very modest. Whatever, I sure would like to have one. Oh, well.

That's a titanium cylinder and barrel shroud. The barrel is stainless and the rest is scandium.

I'd really like to have those grips for my 617.

Modest recoil in a .357 mag that size and weight?

Those were sorta my thoughts, too. But, he said he fired one (50 rounds) with no bad recoil effects.

Frankly, with the recoil would expect, I'd still like to have one. It's got some great features. Did i say, 8 rounds?

Oh, one other little item I forgot - $1,050.

Those grips can be purchased from Altamont. The specific grip model is KU. They carry them in the K frame size as well.

By the way, I saw this piece in a small shop on Main St in Durant, Uncle Stew's. Very small shop with some very interesting guns. If you're driving through, it's worth your time to stop and browse. Lee is a nice, knowledgeable guy and enjoys the visit.
