An Oklahoma barbecue stand claimed the grand champion
title at the 30th Annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Butcher Barbecue in Wellston, earned $10,000 as winner of what's considered to be the most prestigious barbecue contest in the world.

Go early in the day. They only prepared a certain amount of each meat and when it’s gone,it’s gone

What they serve in the restaurant is probably a long way from what is turned into the judges. Not all the score it takes to win is determined by the taste of the meat. Appearance and presentation contribute to the final score.
Great win though. I'll have to stop in as well next time in that area.

I have to say that what they put on my plate when I go looks good even without the parsley and taste good. (I know what you mean though Dennis , just funnin) You really need to give it a try.

Me and my wife drove by that area earlier this summer on the way back from OKC. We had pulled off the road to get some gas or something and didn't know anything about the place. Lemme tell you, it's not
like any other BBQ joint I've seen. It was all in an outdoorsy atmosphere and there were people lined up like Saturday at the Wanny show. It was crazy! We didn't even stop, there were too many people. I was convinced that we do need to back someday though; for their to be that many people waiting, they must be pretty awesome.
