The sad thing is that most who are inclined to take advantage of the law....really shouldn't LOL.

When I was much younger and stationed in Europe, I used to hit the islands of Majorca, Menorca and other popular vacation spots. I'm still scarred from seeing nasty old British women with 'em hanging down to their belly button.

How come the women engaging in these protests are never the ones I want to see topless?

IF this law is viewed from a nursing mother standpoint, I can see it being similar to the open carry law, i.e. primarily to protect a nursing mother from prosecution if she accidentally flashes while covering back up. A certain portion of the populace will of course will take it to extremes (just as with the open carry of AR's down public streets for no particular reason, except that they legally can).

HOWEVER, it appears (judging from the comments made) that this is another attempt to further the notion that there aren't differences between genders. I adhere to the rationale that there are 2 distinctly separate genders, each excelling at different things. I guess I'm just an old fart, unable (unwilling) to change.

i'm not sure that it's that there aren't distinctions per se. But more that the distinctions should not allow for one while criminalizing the other.
