Dupont was a big part of how MJ became a schedule 1 drug rather than just a plant that got you high. They lobbied for it because Hemp would directly compete with nylon.

We can grow fuel. Problem is it only works in a diesel engine like a semi or airplane. I fueled my F-350 diesel with canola oil for 10 years. Probably ran 15,000 gal through it. and it was free when D2 was $3.80 a gl.

I ain't no hippie, but we should totally do this. Grow our own fuel. Good for the economy, good for farmers, good for wall street, low impact to people. Save the oil reserves for drought years and such, as a backup.

It can't be all hemp. There must be some sort of resin bonding all the fibers together. As for making airplanes out of stuff you can grow, the first airplanes were made out of wood and cloth, and most likely held together with horse glue.

The difference is potential energy. Yes, they make ethanol, but it doesn't produce the same energy as gasoline, that's why it's cheaper than 100% gas. You can't go as far on it.

The real practicality of hemp oil might be the affordability vs similar energy density to diesel. If only they can solve the oxidation issue as it doesn't have a long storage life like diesel.
