Just look what the media and Hollywood did with forcing gay and lesbian ideals upon us. There isn't a modern TV show or movie without a gay guy kissing another one or flitting about on the set like a butterfly. They have now done it for so long we hardly bat an eye when we see it. I'm sorry but it still disgusts me and I will not watch any TV show that does it. I had several shows I really like then they pulled that crap and I stopped watching them.

Mark my words, they are starting on climate change in several shows and they will get gun confiscation in too.

We know this. Most of the the legislators that are mouthing this stuff haven't even been sworn in yet.
The issue we are discussing is the agenda that those coming up for this legislative session are putting out in public because they hold the majority in the house and senate of Virginia. They CAN pass these draconian laws because they hold the majority no matter they are in violation of our Constitution.
It's nowhere near the frivolous votes in the Oklahoma legislature that the liberals put up knowing they won't pass because they are pandering to their voters to have talking points in the next election.
Virginia on the other hand will likely have a legal to them vote to confiscate firearms, and the rest of the country is standing by to see how far they will go, with the Governor already saying he is hiring thugs to go house to house and increased the budget of the corrections system to incarcerate those that don't comply.
This is a BIG DEAL.

I tend to disagree. They have the numbers they need to ram it through. They run all the committees and apparently don’t see to care what the people think. We already know they do care about the Constitution or rule of law.

I’d say Virginia is in for some very draconian gun laws this year, and I don’t see Virginians accepting it. Will it become a shooting war? I doubt it, but people could get hurt and that’s unacceptable.

I like that you brought this up, but I'm only half way with you on whether or not these things might not be a bad thing to get passed if they might get brought up to the Supreme Court. There is always the risk that the Supreme Court refuses to take on such a case, and the risk that the Supreme Court ignores the Constitution and/or relies on some sort of bad precedent from way back when. I see many "ifs", "ands" and "buts", but not so many that I would not support having any of these laws brought up to the Supreme Court. Just be aware that it could go the wrong way. Stay armed and prepared just in case.

Some will say that the Eleventh Amendment will prohibit any citizen of Virginia to bring up a case against Virginia to challenge any of these unconstitutional laws, but a careful reading of the Eleventh Amendment shows that only the citizens of other states or foreign entities are prohibited. I might not be correct on this because I can't recall the specific case, but some will also say that precedent shows that a citizen of a state cannot sue his or her state. If I am correct, that too is bad precedent.

Also note that any challenge of any of these unconstitutional laws will (or should) go directly to the Supreme Court per Article III Section 2, Clause 2, wherein the Supreme Court shall have original jurisdiction wherein a state is a party.
