Since Obama was aware of, and apparently approved of the entrapment of General Flynn to try to get information on the Trump campaign, should he be prosecuted as Nixon would have been had he not been pardoned by Ford ?

Do you think he will ever be held accountable for this crime ?

NO, he is above such, todays elite politicians are untouchable and I don't forsee things changing, other than getting worse..

I’m not explaining my way out of anything. I always love how atheists always go straight for the Old Testament to try and prove that “Christianity” is the same as Islam with regards for killing people for being unbelievers. I won’t dispute what the Old Testament says. Under the old covenant things were way different. I struggle myself with how harsh God was with people then. But then again, there were some vile human beings doing some very awful things. But I know how much love and grace God has for us or we wouldn’t be here. The world has largely turned its back on God. When Jesus Christ came and died and resurrected for ALL our sins he created the new covenant ( New Testament). The New Testament shows how much God loves us. And it says nothing about killing anyone. Quite the contrary. We are to pray for those that persecute us. We are to pray for our enemies. We are called to be at peace with everyone if possible. So when @TerryMiller says “not so in Christianity” , he ain’t lying. You are referring to the Old Testament which is NOT Christianity.
I have no quarrel with your sincere faith, Toney.
You can explain things in your book the same way that most Muslims can explain away things in their own book. That’s all I’m saying. Don’t read the Quran for Dummies and imagine that other folks can’t explain things away too.

Okay, well I understood the point is that the Bible tells Christians to kill people and you are offering examples. No?

For the reasons FreddieKrueger explained, Deuteronomy does not tell Christians to do anything. Nor does any other Old Testament passage.

Psalm 137 in particular (if that's what you were quoting) is not an instruction to ANYONE. It is an expression of Israel's hatred of her enemies. If you were quoting some other passage, I wish you would cite it so I could take a look.

That’s sort of the point I was trying to make. You can explain things and put them in the “New Covenant” context, and that’s fine. I’m not even sure that you were the guy I was talking to.
Point being that someone who’s alien to your tradition can always step in and tell you what you believe based on his scant knowledge of your book.

I wasn't. I jumped in when you quoted a passage I couldn't place.

You haven't told us what we believe. You have misquoted and misapplied scripture to try to make a point, which yes... absolutely anyone can do that.

FWIW, I don't really know what the Islamic books say, or how Muslims defend it, but to suggest that Christianity advocates killing people who reject it is absolutely false. To whatever extent Muslim extremists do that, there is no Christian parallel. People may have done that in the name of Christianity, but it did not come from the Bible. That's just people doing what they want to do and attaching God's name to it.
