Nope.

EAA makes a polymer one for cheap. I've seen some reasonably priced used Glock 10mms lately here and there. Not sure why you want to go cheap on a bedside but some boys are gambling men.

Because cheap (inexpensive) doesn't always mean inferior.

I've had a considerable amount of experience with hi-Point fiery-arms,,,
They are big, clunky, heavy, fugly hunks of gun.

But they are as reliable a firearm as any out there.

American made and lifetime warranty............ videos all over the place as to how well they go bang after massive abuse. The video I seen they drove a half inch bolt down the barrel fired it, that finally killed it. That was after a sledge hammer beating , blowing a smaller bolt out of the barrel with a bullet , cramming it full of dirt and dragging it around in the sand. Try that with a Glock..
Seems to be the AK47 of pistols ............ just way uglier LOL.

Me too. I said cheap for a reason though, not necessarily inexpensive. Lots of inexpensive guns would work for home defense.

Here's the reality though.... hi-points don't perform as well as a Glock, M&P, Sig etc. They just don't. Sorry boys, I get the they're "jUSt aS GuUD" routine and I'm not saying they're bad guns, just inferior to others in terms of home defense.

You're talking a big, clunky, gun with piss poor sights, no rail for a light and limited capacity.

The 10mm Carbine is a nice, fun gun though for sure.

I agree with what you say , but if you have a limit to what you can spend this gun maker meets the goal and the ugly hunk of crap will go bang when you pull the trigger and in a home defense scenario it's not so hot accuracy is not going to come into play cause if you are looking at this pistol for HD you are not living in a castle. Up close it will do the job. And ain't no self respecting thief gonna steal it LOL.

The one and only highpoint I ever shot was a 9mm that shot about 10" to the left at 15 yards with the crappy sights. It pretty much soured me on that brand.
Guessing the molded sights didn't come out right at the factory.
