Anyone else suffer from it or have bouts with it? I had a bad case about 15 years ago and had the Epley procedure done. Kind of learned how not to move my head around over the years. Woke up this morning and the room was spinning wildly. I’ve thrown up twice so far because of the nausea. Looked up some YouTube vids on how to do the home procedure. Seems to be helping some.

My ex wife suffered from it. She ran across a lady who was a physical therapist for another issue and was shown how to do the procedures herself to keep it to a minimum.

I have an older dog (15) that has something similar, gets to walking like he is drunk veering off to the side with his head hanging crooked. His vet initially put him on medication that did not work well for him in other ways. Then I found a U-Tube and can give him a 3 minute "treatment" buy laying him on the floor and turning him over in a sequence to help settle the solids in his ear fluids to an area that does not confuse his balance sensors as much.

Good luck to you finding a solution to minimize yours without drugs.

I had vertigo one time (on vacation) that was so bad it resulted in a ambulance ride and 5 days in the hospital with a massive inner ear infection. The showed me some stuff about laying sideways on the bed and lowering my neck where my head hung off. I don’t really remember much, but I hope that is may be enough of a start and that you do find relief.

So sorry. Been there done that and it sucks. Mine lasted off and on for several years but now it’s every five years or so.

Have you ever been tested for Ménière’s disease?

I was but they said that wasn’t the problem. A friend of mines mother has had some of her inner ear removed to help her.

That was my diagnosis 15 years or so ago. Put me on a diuretic and eventually it became more infrequent. Really think mine was stress induced at that time.

I used to have massive vertigo every morning I woke up due to chronic ear infections. In my case it would go away rather quickly each day. Sure wasn’t pleasant and made getting to the bathroom an adventure. My wife would laugh every morning until I decided to lean back against the wall and pee while standing one morning. Not a good plan on my end, but the laughing stopped from then on.

I can’t imagine having that all day everyday. I tried my best not to just hurl constantly. Best of luck to you.

Yep, the old saying ‘you’ve got rocks in your head’ is true. Actually little crystals that contact small hair like things in a chamber. The contact tells your brain what is up/down right/left. If the Chrystal gets lodged, the brain gets conflicting info

Epley's maneuver will only help of the vertigo/dizziness is from an otolith. Is it worse turning your head one way or the other? If so, then definitely do Epley's, starting with rotation in the worse direction. Good luck man.
