“Gun control” has been a losing political argument and the “Democrat Plantation” will be very focused on the midterms. That said, the Democrat base has shifted hard left and they have issues remembering history.

B HO who came in as the most anti-gun president talked of the reinstating the (failed) Clinton AWG all the way up to the day he was inaugurated and that day, they pulled it off his website. He didn’t do much. Not sure if their base will allow a rerun of B HO.

I seem to remember that handgun carry in the National Parks, thanks to Tom Coburn, occurred when Obama had both the House and the Senate in his corner.

And interestingly bump stocks disappeared under DJT. Like none of them keep their promises to their bases unless it's to win an election. I have said offline many many times that I think they aren't going to try to push anything until midterms. I don't know about wait until afterwards, but I would be surprised to see anything considered before 6 months out from them. The first year and a half will be cleaning up the mess of the Rona, and figuring out how to pay for governance with the billionaires not paying anything. Then to get the base energized issues like AWBs can get talked about until the midterms are over, and if they still hold anything, maybe something would happen, maybe not.

It means that all is not necessarily lost, even when Democrats control both houses and the presidency.

Not like B HO signed that bill to be a proponent of gun rights as B HO apologists will fawn and gush over. He signed the bill to get his credit card reform.

As tautologies go, we don't know what we don't know as to whether or not Biden will allow gun control to be the tenet that he promoted during this election cycle.

To that, the progressively challenged, radical left of the "Democrat Plantation" wants the liberal wet dream of "gun control" to happen. They really don't give a flip about states like Ohio and Colorado like B HO did in '08 and '12.

I saw one photo of a protester dressed in black with helmet an AR and tactical gear inside the capital. That could really be the poster child used against us.

Biden has said he will do it by executive order. This will keep congress from being blamed and hurting their re-election chances. Also when they put Biden in a home in a year or two, they will try to claim they can not reverse it. "Something the old crazy guy did and we all have to live with it."

Correct - Obama was no fan of the 2A but made a comprise to get his priority. I suspect Biden will be the same. Gun control is a wet dream for the Democrats but it’s not likely at the top of Biden’s agenda. I’m guessing healthcare and immigration reform (which furthers the Democrat’s power) are more important to Biden. He’s only got 2 years until the mid-term elections.

Edit: I will add; if Republicans don’t gain at least either the House or Senate in 2 years then we are likely f***ed.
