Are you wanting to reduce recoil, or for the looks?
I want to see what’s out there, but it’s not important for me to have one, if the ones that interest me are expensive. I prefer the look of without, I want one for recoil, because I’m more broken down and hurt more than I used to. So if I get a brake, want it to look good. I have no desire for the big gawdy looking ones, I do like the look of a ported barrel. So I would want one as close to streamline as possible, but it can’t be a expensive one.

Does that make sense, or is it just jiberish? Lol

That should help the guys who can give suggestions out. I am not a muzzle break guy.

I’ve never been a fan of breaks because of the noise, but I bought a 300 Win Mag second hand that has a Vias break on it. It’s loud but recoils like a 243. :anyone:

You might check with Dave McCrosky about breaks.

There are so many MB's out there right now that it's hard to tell what is good or bad.
Back in the day on BoomerShooter the competition shooters used brakes to reduce recoil on their rifles and were a great resource to tell what was good or bad. Sadly that forum is dead.
Here is an optics planet link where you can look and maybe compare reviews if they are on there.

Same here. I'll put them on gaming guns but I want my "normal stuff" unported and unbraked. However a friend of mine bought a .300 Weatherby and put their brake on it. The difference was mind blowing at the time as it kicked about like a heavy bullet loaded .30-06. It would also blow up dust off the ground when fired from a bench. The .300 Weatherby ain't no joke!
