"Wanting to fund my annual excursion to Maui." Or, "Selling to buy my vacation home in the Adironbacks on Lake Placid."

Who cares? All that matters is the price. Go to gunbroker completed sales then deduct 10%.

If you're selling a Ruger 10/22 stainless with laminated mannlicher stock, deduct 50%.

Nobody is impressed with your leisure resume.

(BTW, concerning that third item, if you happen to have one for sale at half off, PM me.)

;)

Some folks on here like to let others know where the funding is going towards.
On their behalf, they like to feel comfortable enough to let an item go so they can use the funds for their specific needs.

Everything is for sale for the right price, period.
Now, how can I sell stuff to pay my house off???
Off to go look now.

I've thought something similar when talking to friends. Where I may say, we'll be in Sandy's car, they'd say we'll be in the Vette. I'll put a steak on the grill where they'll put a steak on the Traegar. Sauteed some veggies for dinner or sauteed some veggies for dinner on the Blackstone. I don't think in their situations it's a "hey, look at what I got" but still don't understand it. It's like those TV bow hunting shows. I pulled back my Hoyt GForce X3 with Gold Tip 400 with a Montec G5 and steadied my Boss Hogg 30 yard pin on the vitals. Just a light touch on my Tru-Flight release trigger and that Gold Tip hit the money! At least I know those are for marketing $$. LOL!

My thought is if you don't like how the ad is worded just skip over it or log out. I don't think this forum was ever meant solely to be a classified ad. There is a lot of comradery on here and I "think" a lot of folks like to know what everybody else is up to. Just my nickel's worth.

I guess the irony is too subtle.

One might think my OP was merely a WTB ad for the Ruger.

Not that I would ever do such a thing, but, still, if you have one .......... (at 50% off) ......... PM me. ;)
I need to fund my farming habit, too addicted. If you will send me the funds in small unmarked used bills I will sell you my lightly used SS 10/22 with a wicked trigger, I counted all 27 rounds put through it. Shoots great, got th e side of the barn I was aiming to shoot. Will take bitcoin or zelle or internal organs.

🥳
