Meh. No desire to see a crappy movie with a crappy plot and a crappy actor that was 90% computer generated.

I'd rather go shoot my new R1.

There’s a theory that he died when he ejected and the movie, starting at the point where he walked into the diner, was “his life flashing before his eyes as he’d wish it ended” when he hit the eject button.

If you're interested in how fighter pilots break it down, Mover and Gonky did a four-part (five-part, if you include the "Mover and Gonky read mean comments" episode) version of Mover Ruins Movies on Top Gun Maverick on Mover's YouTube channel. They both flew Hornets, and they both thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but that didn't stop them from telling you what the movie got right and what it got wrong.

Ward "Mooch" Carroll (who was an F-14 RIO) has also discussed the movie on his YouTube channel.

Lots of flaws, besides that, it was enjoyable and a entertaining movie. Way better than the first.... I tell people that this is the main "Top Gun Movie", if you want to watch the prequel, go watch the older one.

Yep, just a movie, got to appeal to various markets like the ladies who want to suck their guys like me in who do not watch movies much This one again. Not a documentary of real stuff but enough to keep us interested if we watch. Love story along with being upside down bending an adversary fighter jet over, canape to canape 10 ft apart until he had fuel starvation while giving him the finger was the first version trigger with me. Yep, I could verify that was somewhat of a description of something of the real event that happened.

Like other tear jerkier movies of stupids holding their firearms sideways while shooting. Yep, just a movie.

Myself, I had rather be doing real things myself, even mowing the yard, than watching make believe people doing make believe things. They could get their mind warped into their make believe world into real life and be weird, ya know?
