Appleseed Shooting Event will be held on the 1000 yard range..

Appleseed is a marksmanship and heritage org. That teaches the best in the bacis funmentals and skills to take you the next level..We have seen new shooter be able to shoot out to 500 yards in just a few days ..This Range is world class place lots of longrange shooters have been there so it a blast..Just ask around we have had 5 events with 50 plus shooters each time and not one safety issue or problem other than running out of AMMO...lol and we do shoot alot .Figure on 500 22lr and 300 of centerfire..Saturday we teach the basic's and then Sunday we open the Know distance range to all shooters that have the skills to make hits out to 1000..If a kid with a 223 can bang steel the first time out then all you Commando's should just rip it up .lol

What you can plan to see and Learn ........

1. Rock solid feild positions
2. How a sling can give you more stability than a bi pod...
3. 6 steps to firing a shot
4. NPOA
5.Rapid fire techniques
6.Trajectory and Battle sight zero
7.Techniques for estimating Range to the target
8.Techniques for comp on wind

Thats just a few And many more ..Just come out see what you think you know and see what you leave with ..A working knowledge of what ever firing system you come out with...

There are alot of reveiws of what we have done since this program started 4 years ago..From fox news to the wall street papers ..We have done the hard work now all you have to do is Pre reg..and you have got a spot with your name on it..This event sellsouts and with 50 plus slots dont miss out...

Appleseed is a CMP recognized out fit that can issue you a CMP slip that get the shooter M1's Garands and all the other CMP toys for way cheap..Alot of our Instructor have bought rifles for less than 600.00 and they shoot ..I mean shoot your bound to see one at this event hitting way the hell out there lol...I myself seen a lady in the sitting hit out to 875 in the sitting with a rack grade 1903 ....So its worth the time to comeout and get the slip that saves you alot of cash...

The whole family can shoot for free..And Armed Forces LEO aswell .Men have a fee of 70.00 pre reg or 80.00 at the gate..Or 40.00 a day..

listing is ... http://www.evenbrite.com/event/931918393[/url]

So bring a 22lr rifle and a centerfire rilfe and come enjoy the history and heritage that we teach..Some history majors have said we do better than some Profeessors they had ..I dont know that if its true but we do have fun telling the stories and battles of the morning of April 19th 1775.....

well that sums it up ..I hope it helps you all ..

SIDE NOTE sure its opening weekend but if you cant hit pass 200 why not spend a day and lets up teach you how to drop that deer pass 450????I know you all are 1000 yard shooter and xsnipers lololol...I'll make a deal with you if you comeout and shoot the AQT the first time out ..And never been to a appleseed I'll refund your money on the spot...Lots have tryed but only few have done it..And they were Ladies lol Ladies do shoot better....So if you think you can do it come on out no ego's here just world class shooting with History mixed in..I myself Am a army trained 11b20b4 with many classes and training over 11 years in ..And a few others ..Hint Hint ..lol USSA rangemaster just to name a few ..So if you can pull yourself away from the deer blind long enough to learn how to hittem pass 400 ..I think you be amazed and pleased that your little 70 buck s just got you...

Seeya on the range we look forward to severing any and all that come...

Folks,

My brother and I went to the Appleseed held at the OKC gunclub in March of this year. Alas, I was humbled and did not receive the rifleman patch, but it sure was not for the lack of QUALITY instruction. I would love the attend the badlands clinic but it is on the opening weekend of deer season. RATS.

I would encourage ANYBODY of any age and any experience level to attend. These guys are GREAT.........

I will at some point attend another and I will get the RIFLEMAN patch...

Just think, with all those folks out hunting deer, those who do show up to this shoot will have that nice 1000-yard range all to themselves!

We should be able to run through a full-distance Army Qualification Test at this shoot, just like we did at OKCGC... I'd like to shoot paper targets out to at least 500, so everybody can figure out their come-ups. We also like to have a free-for-all on the steel silhouettes later in the afternoon on Sunday.

If you've never shot your rifle at long range, you need to come try it out. We will teach you some techniques that will let you put your rifle to good use out to it's true maximum effective range... all from field positions. Have you ever heard that an AR isn't much good out past 300 yds? It'll do double that or more if you know what you're doing; with surplus ammo out of a carbine-length barrel, no less. The military units we put through the Appleseed program proved it. All you AK guys, have you heard that old line that your rifle is a 100-yard rifle? Next time you hear that, you can tell them how you were ringing the 400 yard plate over and over and over at Badlands. All you .30 battle rifle owners... oh boy, you have no idea how much fun it is to use your rifle for the ranges it was actually intended for. The feeling you get when you smack the 800 yard silhouette can't really be described... you just have to experience it for yourself! ;) And for those of you with hunting rifles who AREN'T going to be out slaughtering Bambi that weekend, the confidence you get from knowing exactly what distance at which you can make that clean kill shot is invaluable.

Like RWVA Shooter said, bring a .22 to practice the fundamentals at 25m on Saturday, and bring a center-fire to witness how it all transfers over to full distance shooting on Sunday afternoon. Or if you can afford the ammo to shoot your center fire all weekend, more power to you.

Less than a few weeks till we do this one more time....I love the idea of having a range to a 1000 ....Man no if the winds will play along should be fun...Still room to get in ..Dont wait to long it does sellout only 50 slots....

We will be doing another in afton in December...With a warm classroom and great area to shoot from..bring a shotgun I think the owner will be letting us bust up clays ...And if you need a new 22lr? well he's got them too..

I will be on site in Grandfeild on Thursday the 19th so if you need in to the range come find me we will be setting the lanes ..And might just proof the range with a little Know distance shooting ....we got steel to 1100 for sure..lol

Ok seeya then ....

Last time I was there, it was windy, raining, cold, and we got to shoot in 6 inches of water (depending on where in the line you were at). :)

Yep, and we still had 4 of the shooters score Expert! It was a real test of shooters and equipment both.

We couldn't run the full distance AQT that time, because it was too muddy to be tramping up and down the range. Hopefully this time we can do it.

I can't wait!
