Picked up the new Ruger SR45 last week and shot it today for the first time. With me it is as accurate as my Kimber 1911 and Sig220. I will now have to pick up an SR9 and an SR9c to complete the collection. Again, can't believe how good it shot..........

Yep the SR pistols are severely understated. They should be right up there with the M&P's and the Glocks yet I never see them reccomended with those pistols.

They are underrated, but it has come to the attention of many that they also feel very cheap.

Of course all Rugers also come covered in lawyer lingo which looks like **** and should make you feel like a 4 year old. I don't want my gun to say OMG MAKE SURE YOU READ THE MANUAL BEFORE SHOOT YOUR DUMB ASS SELF! OUR LAWYERS INSIST! Their serial numbers are not conveniently hidden. Instead they stick out like a sore thumb. I dislike Ruger's anti gun policies of the past. I would never buy another gun of theirs if only they didn't make so many neat guns at an affordable price.

I really like my SR9, and look forward to getting a SR45. Measurement, and weight wise, there isn't much difference between the two except for magazine capacity, which I have no issue with. A medium sized .45ACP holding 10+1 with two additional mags, I would feel well armed. I'm even looking into one of Ruger's LCR's, probably in .357, and load with nothing more than .38+P.
