Homeowner charged with manslaughter for shooting at home invasion suspects

Ignore the fact that it was in Connecticut; it's not relevant. Imagine this happening in Oklahoma, with Oklahoma's Castle Doctrine law, 21 O.S. 1289.25. The homeowner would still be in the wrong here. Why?

Discharging his weapon to shoot tires is a no go. Shoot to kill when you or your family is in life threatening danger.

It's really an open and shut case against the homeowner. He'd better plead out and throw himself upon the mercy of the court.

If he wants to shoot thieves in the back, he needs to move to Texas*.

Good thing I just moved out of Travis county into Williamson county, iffinyaknowwhatimtalkinabout.

But yeah, shooting at people attempting to flee is usually a no go.
