I had a Barnet for 3yrs now and still shoot great, a little heavy but was the fastest for the money at the time 345ft/s at around $450 i haven't look lately but for sure they came up with faster and more expensive bow. took a couple deer with it and will take it out again this deer season.

Try as many bows as you can and get the one which feels right to you. Finally found everything important to me in mine... compact, weight, balance and smoothness of trigger. Got me a Stryker 380.

I like TenPoint/Wicked Ridge stuff. For under $800 my reccomendation would be the Wicked Ridge Raider CLS. Its an awesome bow. That same bow costs $1000 last year as the Defender CLS in the TenPoint lineup. Tenpoint moved it to the Wicked Ridge series and now it can be had for $799!

If you wanna spend a little more look at any of the XLT series in the TenPoint lineup. They are 13.5" axle to axle when cocked. Thats the narrowest regular draw crossbow on the market. I shoot at Stealth XLT and love its compactness!!
