Hawgman...

I can't remember the name of the highway...but get a map of the 4 cor era and look just West of 4 Corners on the Utah side.

Monument Valley...West of 4 Corners in Utah or SE corner of Utah.

Mojave Desert...just West of Nevada and barely into California.

The pic looks like the area around Moab and Lake Powell.

Pictures 1 and 3 are truly in Monument Valley in Arizona. The first picture is of the buttes referred to as "The Mittens."

I also recommend Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park in Utah and of course, the Grand Canyon also in Arizona.

Sadly, one can't spend enough time in those two states in one vacation.
