That's what I was thinking.
Deer aren't carnivores like bears that taste human flesh and develop a liking for it.
Baby buck was just being territorial like any other deer at that time of year. A couple months down the road one could probably hand feed it almost. Obviously a town deer used to people.
On the other side of the issue WTF were all those fat boys standing on the sidelines doing nothing so they can get a few minutes of video?
If I was preacher, I'd excommunicate everyone those sissy boys.
I wasn't worried about it eating a human or developing a taste for blood. I know deer are not carnivores. Hopefully the next time if feels froggy it won't be a child being gored.
I knew a guy that had one that would follow the bird dogs and go quail hunting with us. Would eat potato chips out of your hand, and liked a bite of sandwich from time to time. He was as tame as a puppy, until he wasn't.
When he got about 5-6 yo he trapped a neighbor under his truck in the yard, and they had to kill the deer to get the neighbor out from under the truck. He was about a 10 or 12 point at the time, and a really big bodied deer.
