Having come from the Panhandle and seeing numerous black-outs that lasted at least a week, there is no way you can know how much the wife and I appreciate the power people.
We just returned from doing a short work gig in Tennessee, and as we drove along I-40 across Tennessee, we saw at least two different "convoys" of power trucks, both small and large.

Prayers he gets well quickly. And I second the applause for you folks who go out in any condition at any hour to get power restored. Talk about first responders; you’re one of them!

Not good but not surprised. 1100 men together its going to happen, glad I didn’t get it.
Thanks to all the linemen that go on those missions! I retired from OGE Power Plants and read many reports of our folks going to places around the country including Puerto rico to work on the power grid. They work countless hours to keep our power to our homes and businesses.
Thank you very much , I know you are not appreciated until the power is lost.
