what's everybody using? I buy the hornady v-max 32 grainers mostly, they are great little pills. I have not had as much luck grouping the 40 grains. I've seen the 45 grains but haven't tried them. My uncle reloads using the 39 grain blitzkings by sierra with his own powder concoction. The blitzkings grouped the best.

This load groups well under 1 MOA for me.

204 shines in 32-40gn department and 40gn @ 4000fps ain't no joke.

Once you step up to 45gn you are in 223 Rem efficiency territory - and 223 don't play nice.

At least for me, grouping is OK. That would be 5 shots in 0.785 inches at 100 yards.

I'm haven't been much handicapped by bullet drop. The crow was taken at 311 yards.

Yes, it does smack them 108 yards...

Or even 252 yards.

Raccoons and ground hogs haven't faired too well with it either.

Anything in the 40 plus grain weight range doesn't group well in my Savage. If I stay below 40 grain bullets, it does better than I can hold even on a bench.
I love the 204, very little recoil and a severe smack to the varmint.. Blitzfike
