Go to Walmart or local feed/hardware store and buy some Tomcat brand rodent bait. They are green, peanut butter-flavored sticks that mice/rats/squirrels can't resist. Place a few in the crawl space. If the critters can get to it, you won't have any more problems.

Note: DO NOT say to anyone in the store you're using it for squirrels! That's illegal as squirrels have a hunting season.

My Dad had squirrels get into his attic once. Sounded like kangaroos.

Apparently they prefer jumping around over walking. :D

You will also need to cover whatever attic opening they can access.

Raccoon family got into my in-laws' ceiling crawlspace, mama and two kits. They eventually broke through the ceiling drywall into my MIL's home office and really put a wrecking on the place. This was north Edmond, near Oak Tree. Sorry, I don't have a specific exterminator recommendation but wanted to show why it needs to be resolved. They had broke in through a soffit ventilation screen.

Whatever it is, be quick about it.
Squirrels/mice will eat off all the insulation from the wires in your attic.
I had to do electrical repairs of wires with NO insulation at all. 110 volt LIVE wires, just no insulation.
