My wife shoots the 257 Roberts in a Ruger #1. It is a great caliber excellent for women and kids or anyone that doesn't want a lot of blast and kick. It is one of those cartridges that kills better than it should...believe me "it will keillll".

My FIL built up a little Model 700 with a youth stock for my son when he graduated from a single shot 243 to a true bolt action rifle. Its a great little rifle that does wonders with silver tips in it.
