The difference between a S&W K-frame cylinder, and that of the Redhawk .357. With a cylinder like that, its a handloaders dream!!

Holy frijoles Batman, that is a massive amount of extra steel! Makes me wonder why they didn't add an extra hole or two and have a high capacity .357 magnum that was still capable of handling hot ammo instead of canceling it's production.

Very cool revolver, thanks for posting those pics!

Because smith and Wesson hadn't done it yet and Ruger didn't have anyone to copy off of.

I have a 5" and live it, no it's not for sale.

Also have the 41 and 44 mag, thought about getting the 45C when it came out
but really didn't need it as I have Ruger SA and Uberti SA in 45C.

I have a couple in 44mag. Would love to have a 5 inch in 45C or 41 mag. Really want a 45 I can hot rod. If I want to hot rod the 357 I do that with the GP100. I would still like to have a Redhawk in 357 because it is sexy. Don't know if I would shoot it that much though.

I got my Ruger Blackhawk Convertible .45Colt/.45acp because I wanted something that I could shoot hot .45Colt out of but I never did buy any hot ammo because I kept thinking... hmmm, I bet it will hurt...a lot. LOL

I love shooting my .44 magnum S&W 629 V-Comp and it has quite a push but it has a recoil absorbing grip and a compensator so I imagine that helps a fair bit. One of these days, once I get some ammo, I'm going to shoot it with the compensator on and then again with it off and the uncut device installed to see just how much difference there is. The curiosity is killing me recently... Plus I'm jonesing for some magnum trigger time. That kind of recoil out of a single action wood grip plow handle, it's gotta sting.
