Interesting build, pretty incredible numbers from a simple reliable engine.

Probably my favorite gasoline engine ever built. It and the 2JZ Yota had ends any argument about the superiority of V8s in my opinion, and with Cummins’ 12 valve taking the cake across the board on the diesel side, it’s hard to make an argument for superiority of any engine configuration than an inline 6.

They have 7 mains, and fairly beefy rod bearings. Should handle it pretty well.

I watched that. It started out at 88hp and 2XX torque.

These were our choice for agriculture irrigation water pumps. Set 'em at 3500 rpm and let 'em pump!

Engine life is a function of fuel-consumed.

Pretty impressive. I’ve watched that a few times. I have a 90 F150 with the I6. Have considered stripping it down and putting in a carb 351w crate engine.

I think they got it to over 200hp before the turbo.
