Need advice from great and wise osa folks. I have the chance to buy a brand new tv with theater 3d, 1080p, and I think LCD screen but not sure. It is a 47 inch tv retailing from 700 to 800 dollars. I can get it for about 600 yet don't have any use for such a tv as current one I own is working fine. My thought is to go ahead and get it then sell or trade for something I really want. What say you folks.??
Oh and I have to get it by 5 today to get thus price. Its a vizio brand if that helps

Vizio is junk, and if you don't need another TV why buy one?

This.

Also, I would never pay more than $600 for a used TV that I could get for $700 brand new (from a retailer). If I'm buying it from an individual (and it's electronics), it's used. So I doubt you'll be able to make money off of it honestly. Also, depending on what the model is, you might be shocked to find out that it can be had for much cheaper than you suspect online somewhere.

I was kinda thinking it's not a great brand only reason to buy it is money would go to charity. Think I'd rather go find a nice used colt 1911 or beretta92 inox if I'm spending 600 or more. I'm not good with electronics I am behind the times a bit. You folks are so full of knowledge and help though.

It would have to be at least half of retail for me to buy used.

OP's post said brand new...

Even if you buy for 1-200 less than new cost, it will be hard to sell for a decent profit being a lesser brand like vizio, but there is a chance you can make 100 bucks, if that's worth the effort for you, I would pass personally though...

I wouldn't waste time getting the t.v, might be difficult to sell. If you wanna gamble go to the casino. Otherwise save that $600.00 for what you really want.

Don't buy what you don't need. I won't even go into any more detail that that, as that it all that is important to me. As a wiser, older friend of mine once said, "It's not how much you make, it's how much you spend."
