I bought a new press last week,it's the lee pro 1000. have any other folk bought one? I'm having problems with the auto prime system. it just seems to go crazy once in a while?

You and about everybody else. Best bet if you're going to keep it is to get one of the people who have solved one to help you.
I have a Lee Turret and a couple of Dillons, but couldn't figure out a 1000 for a fellow that bought one and could not get the primer system to stay working.

Make sure that the priming system is not getting oil/lubricant in the primer trough slide or primer punch. Even the slightest little bit will cause primers to stick and not slide correctly.
BTW did you go to Ft. Gibson Schools?

thanks for the info! I took it apart and cleaned it really good and wiped a qtip all the way top to bottom! still having primer problems 
. and yes i did got to FTG in the late 78 and 79 . this press is making me
