Bolt Knobs.com Bolt and handle for the Tikka T3X arrived today. I know this is 100% ascetic, but that round ball bolt knob and handle had to go. This feels right in my head. I went with titanium on the handle and alloy on the knob over CF. Shaved a little weight.

Received a case (1000 rounds) of Blazer brass case 124 gr. 9mm FMJ from Bucking Horse Outpost this afternoon.......grand total $239.80. with no tax or shipping.

Looks like they went went up a $1.00 per box to $12.99 but in today's market that is still a good pretty good price and they are good folks to deal with.

124gr in 9mm is about all I buy anymore in the 9mm. These seem to make my WWII guns happy, and the others don't really care.

I can't provide a link or quote a source but I seem to recall reading somewhere the the 9mm was originally designed way back in the day for either a 123 gr or 124 gr pointed bullet and was later changed to a round nose bullet.

I've got 100 rounds remaining of Blazer brass case 115 gr then I'll start using the case of Magtech and Blazer 124 gr. I have on hand........I'd be willing to bet that the 25 yd. plates won't be able to tell a bit of difference. :)

Local farm store has 50 round boxes of 115gr Blazer Brass for $14.99 a box…
They also have a 100 round range packs of Blazer Brass 115gr for $45.99 a box…

I’m seeing the math but I’m afraid they aren’t….

I’ll stick to making my ammo purchases online though regardless.

My $234 case of Fiocchi 115gr came in today. I love the small boxes and I wish other manufacturers would adopt the smaller boxes for 9mm. You Can stack a whole lot more Fiocchi in the safe than Blazer, Federal, or Winchester…

I believe Prvi used to use the small boxes for 9mm as well.

Edit: I think Sellier & Bellot use the small boxes too.

Some of the lesser known makers (Turk and Romanian origin) for freedom munitions and such use small boxes and compact packaging. It's convenient and it's plinker ammo so...
