I am looking at finishing off my first ar build. Was wondering if anyone had experience with the rock river arms predator pursuit? It has an 1:8 twist, Will this twist stabilze a 55gr bullet as well as the heavier 75gr rounds?

it should be fine with 55grainers. I shoot moa out of my 1/8"
do try out some 68-69gr bullets. 1/8 is optimal for them.

My RR Varminter will shoot 1" to 1 1/4" with Nosler 50 grain varmint bullets. It will shoot 1" 200yard groups with 75 gr Hornady BTHP Match bullets. olyeller is right. If anything shorter (lighter) bullets will be "overstabilized", but generally will do well.

Mine stabilizes 77 gr. Nosler BTHP bullets just fine.

I've shot 75 BTHPs out of mine just fine. 1/8 is just about the best overall AR twist around, IMO.
