The first time we went to Cozumel was 26 years ago.
Two dive shops, and one bar that opened up at 11PM. Been there a dozen times or so since then.

The last time we were there was three years ago. Busy as heck, but just topless in a few areas. We don't rent the dive boats anymore, as the best spots are just offshore, so we rent a car and drive out to palancar reef, or some of the others. The north side of the island has much faster current than the lower side.

the current can be dangerous if not carefull.

Back from Cozumel last night..or was it early this morning??!! Never again!! That place was busier and crazier than Walmart during Christmas.

Taxi's buzzing everywhere, people (tourist) in a hurry to get and go everywhere!!! Never been to Cozumel before this trip and I'm not in a hurry to go back.

Beach was nice, hotel was nice, everything and everyone else was crazy.

Is Cozumel the new "Girls Gone Wild" destination?? It's bad when the ladies take off their skimpy bikinis and let the twins and carpet run free!!!

My wife and I were betting which twins were real, which ones had silicone, and which ones should have been kept in the stable....to old to keep up in the race. Saw a few "C" sections, stretch marks, and a few tummies that had been stretched by having several kids. Guess that's what the tequila and mezcal were good for??!!

Most of the "hotties" were Hispinac and most of the "please keep it on..please"..were American??!!

Mezcal. ...mmmmmm, good.

Diving was nice, food nice, Cuban cigars..okay. Mexico and further South ....they just don't understand humidification and when they did..it wasn't done correctly.

Vegas, Vegas, and Vegas for us!!

And you still want to move to Vegas, Dave?

Lone Wolf '49...got your pm and replied..sorry I was late in my response.

Vegas...most definately!!! We (wife and I ) aren't all about the glitz and gambling...we just really, really, really, like Vegas.

As for me..I love the West/Southwest region, having spent time in Gallup, Shiprock, and Farmington, NM. Along with SW Colorado..Cortez, Durango, Telluride area. I really like Flagstaff and heck I like So.Cal...LA area. I just don't like the crowds, traffic, crowds, and traffic.

Vegas area has some cool SW desert things to do, then you can take a 1/2 day trip to Northern Arizona or head West and spend the weekend in LA. Kinda a desert home base to travel to other SW regions.

Plus after we retire and call it quits in Okie land, I don't and won't sit on my a** and do nothing. Vegas has a ton of jobs for older folks in the casinos and (which I do) if you have a A-CDL..with student and passenger endorsement..you can transport people to and from the casino and airport, drive a school bus (He!! No) or a senior citizen bus. With the casinos..I could be a valet porter, do other odds and ends..even drive a limo.

Yep, I'm gonna retire and die in Vegas...hopefully either at a poker table with my senior citizen/old geezer buddies or at home. No sittin' around for me and dang sure no nursing homes..for me. I couldn't stand to be confined in a human warehouse, playing dominoes or doing some sort of macaroni glued picture. I'll go out in the Vegas desert, take a few swigs of George Dickel, ...let the hot lead do it's job and then be recycled back into nature..let the coyotes, buzzards, owls, and whatever enjoy the last of me.

Vegas...Viva Las Vegas.

They went very well with tequila..El Jimador and Union mezcal....mezcal with sal de gusano & orange wedges

I've never tried Trinidad, thinking of ordering some. I've got some Cubans resting in their own humidor currently.
