Break action rifle...I got my boy a .50 inline it had a slight gap, very slight, where the barrel mated up when closed.
Lot's of misfires,, this was a new gun..
I took it back and got another the same model and all...no gap at all never a misfire.

How does yours look...Any play at all?
When reloading i have found if i need a tough primer i use cci #34 for a soft cup primer i use Federal 210M
The slightest tap will set them off..
Would have been nice to dissect the misfired round..

Never had had a problem with this gun till this box of ammo.
I guess just crappy ammo this time.
Like the gun though great little brush gun for where I hunt.
Most shots 50 yards or less I have killed two deer with it.
Its the best I could do after all my other guns where stolen.

Sucks to have all the guns stolen..Had it happen to me many years ago.
Pawn shops were my friends when looking for cheap guns.
You would be surprised what a .308 short barrel will do at long range.

Do you reload your own???
Hopefully the gun ain't wearing out at the hinge...

A little late to this party but I have a Smith 648 that hiccups on Winchester regularly. Any other brand is not an issue.

Now the Ruger Single Six.......eats any thing.
