Just found out last night my neighbor has a Trager pellet smoker and she told me to drag it over here and use it... she's been there... three years, I think, and has never once used it!

Nice neighbor!

I probably have less than $100 in my electric smoker and cheapo charcoal grill combined, and I can't imagine any better tasting meat coming out of the high dollar rigs.

BTW, my Char-Griller Duo last night I kept an eye on the temp, and on the charcoal side, with the pan all the way down to the bottom stayed at 600F for several hours. Made some great-tastin' steaks!

I have a char griller in the picture in post number 2. I got the optional smoke box as well. It does a pretty good OK job. With a dual thermometer addition I can get pretty decent results.

Since we are talking BBQ I learned a whole bunch for free at this site, you should check it out.
