This is exactly why no dealer carries a large selection. They are tired of tying up a lot of money being a showroom for the internet.

Well, hell, let's just put a 10% tariff on all Internet goods then so stores can compete.

Just kidding. I'm a free market guy. You need to do what you need to do to stay competitive. My suggestion is to go to bass pro and pick out the scope you like and then wait. Wait for a sale or one of those coupons for X off your next purchase and use that. Or buy online and have it in 2-3 days.

I buy a lot of merchandise at Bass Pro but on some of their items they are priced too high I'm not a big money guy and will choose the best deal especially if it saves me a $100 bucks.

Bass pro or Academy, both have a decent selection. I use a nikon m-223 1x-4x on one of my ARs and a Vortex strikefire on the other. Both work well for general shooting.
