Caught a 30 inch, 13 lb striper this morning. This will be my first mounted animal ever! Now, just gotta find me a big ole buck in november!

That must have been a blast to land! I'm going to fish Salmon this summer & I can't wait to catch something that size, a catfish is probably the biggest thing I've caught to date and it was probably only 6 or 7 pounds. I typically fish trout and where I fish 3 pounds is a lunker so there are virtually no 10 pound trout.
I'm still down here and don't have a computer. (Doing this from my phone.) As soon as I get back and get disposable camera developed I'll put pics on. The bait was a deep diving thunderstick. Had just given up with shiners and was heading in. Just decided to throw some baits in and troll back for the helluvit. Nothing on the fishfinder. Then BOOM! The fight was on! Did well trolling today as well. Too many long fish. Had to throw a bunch back.
