Anyone know of any stores that have block ice in the OKC area?

Ya, they haul it in on a horse drawn wagon and use big oversized baby-grabber tongs to move it. Make sure to get some wood for your stove too.

Ever ride an ice block? It was real big in South Dakota. You can get going wicked fast going down a hill on ice.

When I can find it, I can line the bottom of my 120qt chest then use regular ice on top of the beer and pop and the ice last much much longer.

Sounds like a reasonable idea. I checked it out and it looks like Bonnie's Snak Shak sells it (3420 S. May #682-9591) and SubZero Ice Services may too, 387-2224.

No, the size they sell (atleast where i used to get it in Antlers)fits perfect in the bottom of the chest. I get 5 and line them side by side. Put pop/beer, etc on top, then cover with bag ice.
