After a week the crows might help you find him if he is dead. Look for them flying from trees to the ground and back to tree.

I will be in the woods Thursday looking. thank goodness tomorrow is my Friday.I'm hoping to find it before the totes drag it off into one of the cannons that is nearly impossible to get into.
What did the blood look like? Sounds alot like a muscle hit to me. Wouldn't be surprised if you see him out there chasing a doe.

It was actually kind of lighter colored it wasn't dark like a liver or heart shot . almost a mixed color between lung and liver. I'm hoping it was high enough to miss the organs completely and just be a pass through right belowmrhe

no bubbles or food.he swears he shot it right behind the shoulder just a little high.he said he could see where the arrow hit and when the deer turned to run he could see where it exited.he says the shot was just a little above center mass by a inch to inch and a half.
From the sounds of it, that was a muscle hit just over or just under the spine. There is a larger gap than most realize between the top of the back and the spine when you get over the shoulders.
I would bet he's still out there chasing does.

I sure hope so he would probably score in the 150s to 160s
There is a light available that makes blood shine in the dark. Does anyone here know if it's UV or something else?
I like to use hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle. It foams up nice when it hits blood.
