He always held a special spot in my memory from when I was a kid. When I lived in KC I went to an A’s game. Baltimore was in town and he was kind enough to sign his BB card for me. Sure wish I still had it.

I'm originally from Baltimore.
He was one of my all time Heroes when I was a kid.
Met him a few times at various baseball events when I was younger
Have a few of his autographs around somewhere.
Now this was back in the day when you could still go down to the dugout and pass a ball around and toss the ball back and forth from the stands before the games.

He was an amazing player and a true gentleman.

Part of my childhood is gone.
