first handgun i ever shot. carried one as a british soldier and loved it. i am actively seeking one to buy. anyone know of one for sale????

John M. Browning said that it was his best pistol design. Amazing when you note that he also designed the 1911. If I was a 9m/m fan, it would be a high power for me.

I carried one on duty for quite a few years before the department I worked for "saw the light" and made a policy against single action automatics.

I have only owned one the them, but have shot several over the years. I love the feel of the grip and build quality. Accurate. Now for the negative. Never seen a factory HiPower with a decent trigger pull. Also have heard that a steady diet of +P can be hard on them. Back in the 70's +P was rare. A company called SuperVel was about it. I never shot any in mine.
