The .45 GAP is basically a .45 ACP case shortened to give the same OAL as a 9mm Parabellum. The only company that chambers for the GAP(thank god) is Glock, so the only platform that is even chambered for the cartridge is too short to accommodate the longer .45 ACP cartridge.

Theres a little more to it than that. True, the GAP case is about the same length as the 9mm.

The case is thicker near the bottom than the .45 ACP, so you can't just trim an ACP case and make a GAP case. If it were possible, I'd be doing it.

The ACP uses a Large pistol primer and the GAP uses a Small pistol primer.

Both ACP and GAP use the same wieghts and diameter bullets. The powder loads are very close together.

The ACP dies can be used to reload GAP, you just have to adjust them a bit.

The GAP is gaining popularity. Florida Highway Patrol is the most recent agency to adopt the GAP as a duty weapon.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. Back to the original subjuect, I don't know of any other caliber conversions for this particular pistol.
