I have a SA 1911 loaded lightweight champion operator. I was curious if I could get it ported... If this can be done what do you think it would run me?

Bushing comps are pretty worthless.
I was talking about porting like the XD9 V10
Get some experience firing some guns from a retention position before commiting to do something like this. Most find it's not cool to have hot gas in their face. YMMV.
Springfield used to make a ported 1911, I have seen two of them at local shops in the used cabinets. Maybe they still do or can do yours in their custom shop?
