You know on a serious note the TP in a mason jar is not a bad idea.
If you have ever had an old roll of TP you will know it had degraded or became a bit more dusty.. Air tight storage should eliminate some of this.

Hate bad TP that tears during a wipe you know.

IF the fan is the issue, I would rather have an ounce of anything in hand, than any SPY futures and no working computer.

That's why an ounce of lead is worth more than Gold when/if that situation ever occurs.

Think about Syria. The city's have been bombed into oblivion. SHTF is happening there right now. What would you use? Lead or Gold?

Yep. My thoughts as well. Maybe it's a good hedge against inflation but it's not worth crap in a SHTF situation.

Well, there are definitely different types of disasters to worry about.
Ice storms, tornadoes, blackouts, flooding, civil unrest, financial system collapse, disease, famine, pestilence, etc.

It's something we deal with in our IT DR plans, to try to make responses proportionate to the disaster at hand.
