Let's be real

I don't agree with white supremacy.

I think the ideology is sick.

But

They planned the protest for the removal of the monument.

The students attacked(counter protested) by throwing rocks, bottles, balloons filled with poo and urine, and God knows what else.

Millennials once again are the ones causing the issue. How is no one seeing it?

Swastika was a symbol used in the past by Native Americans. Some swastikas are even in our state capitol I've been told. It was also used by the Okla 45th infantry.

For the first 15 years of its existence, members of the 45th Infantry Division proudly wore on their left shoulders an ancient American Indian symbol of good luck, most commonly referred to as the swastika. The insignia served as recognition of the great number of Native Americans proudly serving in the 45th Infantry Division. The yellow swastika on a square background of red symbolized the Spanish Heritage of the 4 Southwestern states that made up the membership of the 45th—Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona. A similar symbol was adopted by the Nazi party in the late 1920’s, and as the N.S.D.A.P. rose to power in 1933 the symbol became so closely associated with German National socialism that it had to be abandoned as the insignia of the 45th Infantry Division.

Of course it has a history that goes back farther than ol' Adolf (let's be honest, he wasn't that creative). But this not a Native American Swastika being flown, it's straight up Nazi.

You can read more about him in this NPR story, including a supporting photo of him at the event and a statement from Vanguard America saying that he wasn't a member of their organization (but was likely marching with them).

But,...But,....we got rid of the Racist Hateful flag that was causing all the problems after the Charleston church shooting. Are you telling me there's yet another Racist Hateful flag out there killing people?

Well, by all means, we must ban that flag ASAP, before it kills again...

Charlottesville, Ferguson, Baltimore, Dallas, do you notice a common thread? It's people! We have no respect for other's ideas. Roughly half of the people are mad about something the other half does or thinks. We even see it on here. One member gets PO'd at another because they don't see things the same way.

I doubt that anyone has ever changed their mind because of a post on the internet, Glock vs. 1911, Trump, vs Hillary, or OU vs Texas.

Just stop it. Enjoy life. If someone says something you don't like, don't listen, don't read the post!
