Wipe Out is good stuff. Small caliber bores take just a tad. The foam expands pretty good. I like to plug the breech with a couple big caliber patches to keep it from expanding out that end.

Yap that Wipe Out be good stuff, I have used it for 5-6 years now and like it alot.
It won't hurt the barrel if left in it overnight as I do most of the time.

I broke in another barrel over the last couple weeks (my son's new Savage .223--it's a sweet rifle!)...so I've been thinking a lot about barrel cleaning/care. Has anyone used Wipe-Out or Carb-Out?

I've been using them almost exclusively for several years. I use them to remove carbon and copper fouling and follow that with Prolix or Microlon Gun Juice.
