I have heard alot of complaints about the Colt. I have not heard any about the 15-22. I had a 15-22 and it was a great gun. You can also look at the Ruger SR22. That is what I have now. I really like it. With the Ruger factory 25rd mags. Its even better. Out of the two. I would go with the 15-22.

The Sig 522 and the S&W 15-22 have received very good reviews.
S&W 15-22 that I've seen at the carbine matches have ran very good!
The Colt hasn't had good reviews that I've read.
I have the CMMG AR dedicated upper and if i had it to do over again I think I would get the Sig or S&W.
The S&W mags are much easier to load. If you have kids they may not be able to load the Mags that CMMG sell.

I have the 15-22 with about 1k or so rounds and it's a hoot. I need to pull it out and shoot it tomorrow.
Another vote for the M&P 15-22. Controls are just like a normal AR, unlike the colt.
My vote is for the 15-22. I just purchased one of the new FDE MOE editions, and I love it!!! Very accurate and not one failure so far.
