Public respect for the rule of law is increasingly in danger when illegal acts by high officials are glossed over. As has been pointed out, the Petraeus prosecution bears consideration as a standard by which the prosecution of these illegal acts should be judged.
Instead of "jury nullification" we now may have prosecutor nullification.
Instead of "too big to fail" we have too big to prosecute.
