Totes do surge some so on a small trailer could be an issue. if full not much surge.!!

You don't need baffling if it's full, and if it's half full, 150gal wouldn't be worth the trouble to baffle imo, especially if you're pulling it with a tractor or truck.

300 gallons of water with the high pressure low gpm nozzle will put a grass fire out fast and will go a long ways. Think high pressure car wash.

I filled up one in the back of a 2012 1/2 ton chevy truck.

We raked and seeded a run for deer and tossed in all kinds of seeds including turnips and peas.

We needed to water it in and tried the hose thing hooked to the bottom.
No good and it took too long.

I shut the truck tailgate and opened the valve at the bottom.
Flowed out of the back of the bed and onto the ground bed like a perfect truck width waterfall.
Fast too.

Buddy and I used to make fires as kids and then stomp them out.
See how big you can make them and still get them stomped out.

2 years ago driving down the highway almost to the Douglas exit I seen a fire on the side of the road in the grass ahead of us. 12MPH winds or so blowing it towards some barbed wire fence and some much taller grass.
Need to get it out fast before it hits that field.

Much larger than any we ever tried to stomp out.
I asked my buddy you think we can stomp that one out.
I don't know it's pretty big.

I said I have carpet in the trunk (I cut house carpet to fit perfectly in the corolla trunk.

I said one can drag it and the other guy goes behind him and stomp what's left.
I pulled past the fire.
I had the trunk popped before I stopped and we bailed out.

I seen a small ditch with water in it and had my buddy toss me the carpet.
I soaked it and tossed it back up to him and he began dragging it and I walked behind him crushing the dry brown grass and eliminating the leftover embers.

We had about 1 foot of fire left to put out when the fire truck showed up.
I had them rinse my carpet off as it was smoldering.

Not one to litterbug I rolled it up and into the trunk it went and it left a juicy stinky mess in the trunk.
Worth it.

I think that wet carpet did very well.

This discussion reminds me of a time I rode with a coworker in a 3/4 ton dually towing a goose neck trailer with two 30-gallon totes on it. When the totes were half empty, we had to make a sudden stop, and I still remember the odd feeling of being on a small boat on the open water…

I have one that I transport in the bed of my 1/2 T pickup. However I do not like the movement it conveys to the truck when it’s full so I only haul it about 2/3 full.

As for your fire use. I have a 40 gallon sprayer rig that I modified with a longer hose. I put it on the counter weight on the 3-point hitch and the 12 volt pump is wired into the electric system of the tractor. It’s great for maintaining control of my frequent brush fires. I can spray while driving the tractor.

Yep! And wet gunny sacks tied to a wooden broom handle will kick ass like the wet carpet!
