I uses Hoppes solvent to clean my krink.
I've read that Ed's Red works well, too.
Ballistol mixed with water is the way to go. Cheap, easy and effective for both cleaning and lube. No reason to use anything else, it was made just for this. But like said before the water is what does the work on the salts. After it evaporates you have the ballistol left for corrosion protection.
Corrosive ammo is the best! It smells GREAT! Best smell ever is 8mm Romanian ammo!
Just rinse with hot water then clean normally.
