I just got my rifle from Jon Beanland a couple months ago. He's a great guy and easy to work with.

Tom Ross is a heck of a precision smith and a super nice guy. He's in the Piedmont area.
Tell us a little more about your build and intended use. Jon does build a heck of a long range weapon.
Contact info would be nice for those interested in his services.

His guns shoot with the best of them and it's nice to support a local smith!
Thanks for the kind words and thank you for posting matt stewart on the site.
It's a .243 win. 24" 8 twist hawk hill barrel throated for 105gr. Bighorn sr2 action. Surgeon bottom metal in a manners t4a stock. Jewell trigger set at 2 lbs. I put a bushnell elite tactical dmr IIi 3.5-21x50 on it. I am going to hunt with it. Coyotes, deer, and hoping to go antelope hunting this year.
Does that 8" stabilize those 105's just fine? I love a 243. Seriously underrated.
An 8 twist will stabilize 105's just fine although Berger recommends a 7 twist for their 105 Hybrids.
