Do you shoot .357 magnum as well as .38 special?

Hello, Mr. Flinch. How are you on this fine shooting day?

I'm not horrible, but that 50 yard plate is cake with .38, unless I get lazy. .357 not as cake

I don't shoot mine much but when I do it's usually 357.
But it's got an 8-3/8 barrel with a full underlug so it's a dreamboat to shoot.

When I carried one for a living, yes. Our agency insisted upon duty rounds for all training.

I switch back and forth. 38s for paper targets, 357 for melons, water jugs, etc.

I shoot 357 better when I wear both earplugs and muffs. Something about the muzzle blast that makes me flinch, particularly if I haven't shot 357 in some time.

It really does make a difference for me.

38’s in my S&W 340 M&P I’ve nicknamed Thumper for obvious reasons. 5 or 10 .357 rounds before I leave the range. Crimson Trace 405 grips tame the recoil some.

Never noticed a difference between them in my revolvers. I only have full sized ones though.


Never have shot 357s out of my Henry yet. 38s suppressed is way too much fun. They suppress incredibly well.

Man I borrowed a .38 lever from a buddy and shot it suppressed and it was crazy awesome. I forgot until you mentioned it and now I want one again. Daaaangit
