Not at all, Stolen Valor Act was passed a few years ago. Making it illegal to claim medals that you did not receive. There has been some talk that it should not be illegal due to the first amendment. Just throwing it out there for discussion.

u should be in prison if u fake being military

IMO, Karma does exist and it can be pretty harsh. They'll get what's coming to them. As for going to prison, yes, but only if they fraudulently received benefits from doing so.

I was always under the impression, it protected "political" speech, meaning you can speak out against the government.
Now stupidity, that what makes it where you can say anything you want any time you want, but, there are consequences.
