Nice birds everyone. Not near the number of birds around this evening as yesterday after the rains last night. Managed four with BP ML this evening, was 4 for 6, so I was happy...........of course most of the birds were floating over head on while reloading. Daughter bagged 3, once again, without the dog, we'd brought home 1/3 of what we did. He found a wounded one right by the truck that we watch fly that way after she shot, about 200y away.

Managed to kill a limit this morning with the sweet 16.

last year I couldn't miss and this year I couldn't hit one

I got 2 but should have had about 8 or 10 and my buddy ended up with about 8 and should have had a limit

Had a great time though, 1st time hunting w/ the mojo motion decoys and they were impressive

pretty sure some of those southern OK doves I was shooting at were bulletproof though - I hit one and it looked like lighting hit a pillow with feather flying and when i went to pick him up, he took off again and i missed lol

Beautiful dog! Nice pile of birds! Tell us more about it, large groups flying by all evening? I have an invite to go Saturday morning in El Reno but it's supposed to rain Friday night into Saturday morning. I'm itching to get back out there, I worked plots Tuesday afternoon at my Logan County farm saw only 1 dove that day.

Did a little plotting last night and finished up this evening before the hunt also.

These were flying between worked wheat field that hadn't been harvested and an uncut milo field. Few birds early and then just clouds of them for 15 minutes or so. The dog and I both working overtime to shoot, count and retrieve. Watched the rest of the flight for a few minutes and then it tapered off to almost nothing.
